Sandlands are the most popular sources of silicon. A 'mountain' planet
usually does not provide more than 'average' silicon, but sandlands often hit
the 'plenty' threshold. These planets also maintain chemistry plants while
furnishing their own coal and oil. The sandland is the ultimate provider to
shipbuilding materials, offering everything but aluminum. Be careful,
however, to set your 'gold' on import and establish an organic world (Jungle
or Wetland) to export gold.
