Mountains provide raw materials in great abundance. They can suppliment,
but not replace, sandlands in silicon production. Mountain worlds are also
capable of providing their own gold, thus eliminating the need for additional
organic worlds (Jungle or Wetland). Mountain worlds are also the only sources
of titanium, used in superconductors. They are also effecient providers of
uranium, and can process it into plutonium on site.
