StarSheby

green globe Player Bio:

Starsheby is played by a 31 year-old equipment operator from the upper peninsula of Michigan (yes, way up north). I am married and was blessed with a wonderful daughter the summer of 1999. I found Starknights through Metal Knights while looking for something to do after the 3AM bottle. I am a big World War II buff and will watch anything related to it on the History Channel. I race 4x4 trucks in the summer and snowmobile in the winter. My computer skills are pretty much limited to the mouse. I now started playing online games when I bought this computer for my wife; now she has to fight to use it.

green globe Character Bio:

In the early days of Edenia, there were frequent disputes about fair pricing, questions about jurisdiction for crimes such as fraud and larceny, and complaints about markets being governed by monopolistic partnerships between major merchants. The Sheby clan, one of the few bands of merchants to arrive at Edenia in the first wave of colonization, established the Trade Union with backing from the Council of Elders. The Union resolved disputes as crimes and monopolies dropped dramatically. With the vast collection of freighters and permanent outlet stores, the Trade Union revolutionized commerce and kept the citizens of Edenia supplied with all of the goods required for comfortable lives. When the war with the Ephystians broke out, the Sheby clan was asked to organize the Union to support the defense of the worlds colonized by Edenians. Seeing that Globemaster the Eighth was more than prepared to support the planetary needs of the citizens, the Sheby Clan reached for the most distant stars to bind them with a common market. Immediately, freighters were refitted with larger engines to support fleet convoys as weapons were provided to civilians for defense in the event of invasions.

Taking pride in their important role in the defense of the empire, they designed a rather all-purpose ship and named it the 'StarSheby' model. This ship by far became the most popular freighter as the StarSheby Conglomerate of Freighter Pilots purchased more than four thousand hulls over the first year alone. During this time, however, the Ephystian fleets began disrupting StarSheby freighter lanes. With the Edenian war machine already stretched beyond the limit, production was upgraded to the 'StarSheby B,' a war-capable freighter capable of defending itself against several enemy fighters at once. In convoys, with escorts provided by the mysterious Shadow Knights, these freighters could swiftly destroy lone Dekkos and other capital ships. As the war raged on, StarSheby fleets were further equipped and became a fighting force as well as the dominant supplier to the Edenian battle fleets.
